After retiring from the NIH, Jeanne N. Ketley, Ph.D. joined Maryland Homeowners’ Association (MHA) in August of 2004 and has been President of MHA for the past 5 years. MHA is a consumer advocacy group dedicated to promoting the rights of unit owners and homeowners who live in condominium and homeowner associations. She has been Chairperson of the MHA Legislative Action Committee and editor of the MHA E-Communicator.

In 2009, MHA, under Dr. Ketley’s leadership, was awarded an Official Citation from the Maryland General Assembly for “dedication and commitment to protecting the rights of homeowners, leading the cause for beneficial social change, and being a stellar example of Public Service.”

Dr. Ketley has a B.S. from Queens College of the City University of New York, an M.S. from Cornell University (under the direction of Professor Robert W. Holley, Nobel Prize, 1969) and a Ph.D. from The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. After a career in biomedical research she became a Scientific Review Administrator in the NIH Center for Scientific Review (CSR) and retired from CSR as Chief, Cardiovascular Sciences Initial Review Group.

Dr. Ketley serves on her condominium’s board of directors and is married and has one son.
